Rotax 177 driver Florent Lambert finished eighth in the final at the last S1 round at Three Sisters, where he was as fast and consistent he was at the previous round at Rowrah where he finished second. Unfortunately he was lacking slightly in top-end speed and he couldn’t gain ground on the front-runners, who were all lapping within a tenth of each other.

Seventh in the championship is an outstanding result considering he missed a round due to kidney stones and Florent’s objective for 2009 is to win a round and finish the season back on the podium at the very least.

The 177 class is getting faster and harder but I have done well at Tim Parrott Motorsport where the combined efforts of Tim and Jason Parrott, Leon McDonald, Neil Berryman and JSR have helped me improve my driving while still having fun. More of the same next year!
