In Senior Max Matt Mason was extremely fast in the wet heats on Sunday with a 4th from 31st! He also had a win and unfortunately a DNF due to a incident which left him with a flat tyre. In the final he started 11th and finished a steady 8th, struggling to get to grips with the track and the chassis.
Jason says: “Matt was very fast in the heats but made a mistake in the third heat and ended up making contact with another driver which led to a flat tyre, I’m sure if that had not happened we would of been in the top three easily in the final,”
In 177 Lewis Turner found it difficult to get to grips with the track at the start of the weekend. In the heats he made a few too many mistakes which lost him a lot of places, but when the track dried up for the third heat was on for the win until he dropped his wheel on a wet patch and lost a place to 3rd with 2 laps to go! For the final he was punted wide at the start and was left to recover but showed good pace.
Jason says: “I am sure Lewis will make less mistakes in the racing when he is in the kart more often but i believe he showed his true potential in the 3rd heat, he is a fast driver but just needs to calm down and not panic.”
Florent Lambert in 177 had a slow start to the weekend but was in the fight for the heats and the final, but like Lewis got pushed wide at the start and had to come threw from the back.
Jason says “With two 177 drivers i believe we will be at the sharp end more often than anyone else and will bring the drivers on together.”
“Good Job boys”
