After struggling with the kart throughout most of the weekend, a sixth in qualifying from Lewis eased the pressure slightly. In the first heat he made a place up to 5th then sat behind Dave Griffiths and Lucas Orrock and waited until they crashed together then claimed third. The second heat came but Lewis didnt quite have the luck he had in the first heat and only finished 4th.

This put him fourth on the grid for the first final – from there it would be a close battle for second position with Luke Woodland with Lewis eventually missing out and having to settle for 3rd.

In the second final he started third, however this time he would make the second place stick. Lewis made a move into the first corner on Luke and pulled it off, and he started to move forward catching Harry Cockhill in first. However this extra pressure on the kart and tyres caused them to fatigue more than normal and the kart problem arose again. After another battle for second place, Lewis lost out but came home less than a second behind Luke Woodland. Lewis had the support of his team members on the victory lap in the parade car.
